The room was impeccable, property and water park very nice, but most importantly the staff was fabulous. Had some confusion with the booking through Expedia but the staff went above and beyond to accommodate my family in the best way. Will recommend to everyone!

It was a lovely property and my grandson had so much fun in the indoor pool, but the check-in time of 4 p.m. and checkout time of 10 a.m. means that you spend almost half of one day waiting to check in and then have to wake up and rush to get out before checkout time. It was off-season, so it doesn't seem like there was a big waiting list of people requesting rooms, so they could have maybe offered a noon checkout, giving visitors a little more time to look around. I felt like I rushed to get to the hotel pool and we spent a couple of hours here and then went out to eat and then it was basically bedtime, so I didn't get to check out the game room or the fitness center or even just take a nice walk around the grounds.

booked on a whim just to “get away “ for the weekend for a little stay-caution an hour from home. this was our first time visiting and we were beyond thrilled with our experience. the unit was very clean as well as the entire facility. the kids had A BALL doing the paddle boats while simultaneously feeding the turtles . I LOVED that the pool area wasn’t too deep and the kids could enjoy themselves with our being constantly on edge. we will definitely go back again !

We come here every other week to bring the kids to the pool, this time the humidifier was broken and it was so hot in the pool area. We didn’t last long in there because of kids faces were turning bright red. Such a bummer since we only come for the pool. Also the apartment was pretty dirty this time. It’s never been the cleanest (like the baseboards) but there was a few things wrong this time

The Villa was great. Very ean. The staff was excellent from check in to check out. My grandbabies loved it and did not want to leave. The only downfall was the arcade room some games didnt work and the ones that suppose ably did took our tokens and didnt work. Overall will definitely go back again.

check in was lengthy especially when your tired from driving. But was very pleased with the condition and comfort of the room. We were in the bottom floor and let me just say you should request a top floor! The people above us was running and screaming up until after 11pm. You can literally hear EVERYTHING The people above you do! The beds were comfy though and the pillows were not bad either! The water park was okay. There is not any staff monitoring slides. The small slide for little kids was over run by larger older kids. The older kids was literally pushing smaller kids out the way to go on the small slide. And would come down it so close together they kept slamming into each other at the bottom I’m surprised no one got hurt. The lazy river was nice and so is the spa like area in the middle of it. The hot tub was also great. Husband tried to fish but he said they don’t give you the right set up for fishing.Over all we would stay again but request an upstairs room lol

We were excited to stay at Beachwoods until we got there when it went downhill. The front desk team member was not rude but not warm and kind either. She checked us in and off we went to a room that was already occupied. I'm glad the guests were not actually in the room! We returned to be given another room. When we arrived there, it was for a room that did not meet our reservation and was queen and not the king we reserved. We went back but the check in line was long. We opted to come back so we didn't miss our dinner reservation. When we returned, the front desk person said, "You look familiar?" I replied yes because it was our third time trying to check in. I said, "you first checked us into an occupied room and then we were given a queen bed the second attempt." She did not say she was sorry but instead, "Well, I couldn't have checked you in to an occupied room if the system didn't let me; must be the system." Her voice tone was annoyed and rude. The concierge looked embarrassed and mouthed "sorry" silently. Once we finally got to our room, we found the couch to be totally worn out. At that point, we slept through the night and left a day early. We just gave up.

We had dirty bedding on top of the washer upon arrival. There was also old coffee and coffee grounds in the coffee maker when I went to use it. Kids loved the water park. One older employee was super unfriendly and grouchy by pool. Overall a good experience minus the uncleanliness in the room.

I like that it was near a lot of places like Walmart or Food Lion. I also like that it had an indoor pool area which was nice. The only thing I didn’t like was they had a policy that was quiet time and if policy was broken you could be asked to leave I don’t think they believe in this policy. Overall we will not stay again very nice place though.

The property is very unique. The surroundings are beautiful and you forget you're in the middle of Kitty Hawk. You will need to have a car to get from check in to the room and back to the water park, it's very sprawled out. I was given an early check in prior to arrival but when i checked in around noon i was told the room wasnt ready and no one reached out to tell me it was ready. I came back at 330 and was told it was ready. The condo was very nice, but if you're a light sleeper get an upstairs room. We were up all night long due to the people above us being up and about all night. Come morning we were exhausted. I asked for an hour later checkout since we saw them leave, but was told we would have to pay $25. The water park is very nice as well. I will say I couldnt imagine being here in busy season. Great for this time of year.

We love staying at Beachwood resort. It is a Peaceful location in the woods but one minute from shopping. Go out the back entrace for a 2 minute drive to ocean front and a few minutes from Wright Brothers memorial

Good value and convenient to shopping and dining. They are renovating some properties which resulted in our not having an internet connection in our condo. WiFi is available in other common areas.

We loved this place! It feels so comfortable and reasonablhy priced. Only suggestion: Maybe put families with children on the bottom floor. Alot of noise overhead with them running till late at night. Very friendly and helpful Staff!Awesome place to stay!!

Great family getaway
We love coming here! The amenities make the trip even more fun for our family. The room was great and since we ended up with adjoining rooms with our extended family, it was perfect for Thanksgiving to have the extra kitchen and space.The pool was overly chlorinated or maybe poor ventilation? But very clean! The water temperature was chilly one day, but better the next. The cost to stay here is great for the off season.

The pool/water park was closed the second day which was the main reason we were there. We also saw them dumping pool water with a pipe straight into the pond both illegal and terrible for the ecosystem.

In the woods at the sea shore
Suite had not been cleaned when we arrived. Some sort of mix up? Was given a choice of moving to another suite or waiting for crew to clean. Crew came quickly and we went to dinner, suite was in great shape when we returned. Cleaning staff gave us a great recomendation for dinner. The resort is in a wooded area, different than what we normally are used to at a sea side resort. Great indoor pool/ water park. We were quite happy with our stay

Our stay was good, keeping in mind I have 2 toddlers. The word resort in my mind did not involve as much driving. From the villas you stay in be prepared to drive to almost all amenities. The property is covered in trees, if that’s your thing you will love it. It rained the weekend we went though and everything just stayed wet so not outside fun for us. The villa was nice but the shower was gross. Went to bath the kids and mold came up out of the drain, peoples hair all over the walls. Not fun. The toy room for smaller kids no longer exist and the arcade has 1 game that is not broke and a handful of claw games you can’t win. Overall ok but I think next time we will just grab a regular hotel and skip the “resort”

We were there for only 2 nights. The resort was beautiful and peaceful. We rented a suite it was very clean. The beds were comfortable. It was home away from home. I hope to stay again and I highly recommend staying there. It's in a very convenient location close to beach, restaurants, grocery stores etc.

This was a great weekend getaway for our family in the off-season. I found it on sale. The property itself has many amenities for those traveling with children; arcade room, indoor waterpark, outdoor playground, etc. The staff (particularly Kathy at the front desk) was helpful and pleasant. The text service to reach a staff with questions was also fast and convenient. We also found our room was very clean and spacious. Our only con was the bed was somewhat hard/not comfortable, and the property is located in a wooded areas with LOTS of mosquitos. Next time we will know to bring repellant. But other than that we look forward to returning.

Water park was great for the kids, they enjoyed it. The room itself had a funky "moth ball" smell upon arrival, but we were only scheduled to stay one night anyway so it wasn't a huge deal. Amenities were great and beautifully decorated.

Enjoyed our stay
Our family loved the resort. The indoor waterpark was a huge hit. The water was a little chilly, but it was October! A family member was older, so the stairs were a bit of a challenge. Beds were comfortable and the environment was peaceful.

The place was easy to find, Walmart is right next to the property. The villa was very clean and the rooms was spacious. Will definitely go back.

Hotel is essentially in Walmart backyard, staff is very unprofessional, internet connection costs 30 dollars daily and pool 29 dollars daily and it isn’t open until 2 pm. Definitely not coming back.

This is for kids
This is a quiet family friendly place. The price of the night's stay was worth it to me because my child had a safe clean and bright place to play. And I could sit in a hot tub and watch.
